Jeffrey M. Stamps, R.Ph., President and CEO of Remedi SeniorCare, announces new members of the leadership team for a new pharmacy in Houston, Texas. Two long-term care pharmacy executives have joined Remedi as development progresses on the company’s eleventh location. Slated to open in the second quarter of 2019, the 38,000 square foot pharmacy will dispense Remedi’s proprietary dispensing system, PAXIT®, and will eventually employ more than 200 individuals.
Tom Schleigh, R.Ph., has been named the pharmacy’s General Manager. Over the past three decades Tom has established himself as a well-known and experienced operator of start-up pharmacies in several states, including Texas. In this role, Tom will oversee all operations and direct pharmacy leadership to ensure adherence to pharmaceutical functions as they relate to the safe and effective administration and delivery of medication to Remedi customers. Joining as Operations Manager is Patti Jenson, R.Ph., another seasoned long-term care pharmacy executive. Spending most of her pharmacy career in the state of Texas, Patti’s knowledge of Houston and the surrounding areas will be a tremendous asset. As operations manager, Patti will be responsible for the day-to-day management and production of the back end of pharmacy operations.
Both Schleigh and Jenson are known pharmacy leaders within the long-term care industry and adept in the integration of technology within pharmacy operations. Remedi’s Chief Operating Officer, Mark Schroder added, “We are thrilled to welcome these two professionals to our team and look forward to a successful opening of our Houston pharmacy and bringing PAXIT to more providers in the state of Texas.
