Celebrating National Nurses Week: Honoring Excellence in Long-Term Care

In recognition of National Nurses Week, Remedi SeniorCare proudly spotlighted seven inspiring nurses from the communities and facilities we serve—each one exemplifying excellence in long-term care. These professionals are dedicated to enhancing resident well-being, improving medication administration safety and adherence, and delivering compassionate care to seniors. 

Throughout the week, we shared their stories across our social media platforms, highlighting their impact on both care teams and residents, as well as their deep passion for nursing in long-term care. We’ve brought all of their stories together here as a tribute to their unwavering commitment to excellence.


Kimberly Creer, RN

Heritage Health Care – Euclid, OH

With two decades of nursing experience, including eight years at Heritage and two as Director of Nursing, Kimberly leads with a calm, compassionate presence and a deep understanding of care delivery. From floor nurse to HR director, her varied roles have only strengthened her leadership.

“Kim is a blessing,” shares Administrator Sam McCartney. “She’s incredibly patient, always teaching and guiding her team, and handles resident concerns with urgency and empathy.” Her leadership has positively influenced both staff morale and resident outcomes.


Jennifer Amador, LPN

Trueman Pointe Care Center – Hilliard, OH

Jennifer has spent 15 years as part of the Trueman Pointe family, bringing warmth, skill, and 18 years of total experience to her role. She’s loved by residents and staff alike, often requested by name for her compassionate care and upbeat spirit.

Jennifer is a true team player who’s always willing to step in, ensuring that residents receive exceptional care. Her dedication and positivity make her a vital part of her community.


Jessica Walker, RN, Infection Preventionist

Carington Park – Ashtabula, OH

Jessica joined Carington Park during the pandemic, quickly rising to the challenge by taking on the critical role of Infection Preventionist. With just four years of nursing experience, her drive to learn and self-motivation earned her the respect of the entire team.

“Jessica’s consistency and compassion make a lasting impact,” says Director of Nursing Kelly Beatty. She continues to lead with strength and resilience every day.


Amy Graham, RN, Nurse Manager

Lenawee Medical Care Facility – Adrian, MI

Amy brings 14 years of nursing experience to her role and has spent the last three years at Lenawee Medical Care Facility, where she’s described by Administrator Erin Tucker as “a blessing to have on our team.”

Amy is known for advocating for residents, driving process improvements, and building strong relationships with both staff and families. Her leadership style is rooted in creativity, care, and reliability.


Machelle McKinney, LPN

Kessler Estates Senior Living – Lima, OH

With over 20 years of experience and more than a decade at Kessler Estates, Machelle is the community’s Charge Nurse and a steady, reassuring presence. She treats every resident like family and steps in without hesitation—even taking on caregiver shifts when needed.

“Machelle sets the tone with professionalism, clinical knowledge, and heartfelt care,” shares Executive Director Georgiana Saffle. Her leadership by example is deeply valued by all who work with her.


Tracy Whitfield, RN

Martha T. Berry – Mount Clemens, MI

Tracy has six years of nursing experience and has spent the last three at Martha T. Berry. Known for her positivity and calm under pressure, Tracy is a trusted resident advocate and a dependable teammate.

“She’s pursuing her BSN while working full time and caring for her grandmother,” says Assistant DON Vonnette McDowell. “Tracy inspires others to grow through her example.”


Amanda Falcon, LPN

Golden Years – Hamilton, OH

Amanda has spent all 13 years of her nursing career at Golden Years, becoming a pillar of the community. She’s celebrated for her strong clinical skills, passion for teaching, and deep compassion—even visiting residents in the hospital on her days off.

“Nursing is her calling,” says Nurse Manager Stephanie Beltz. “Every facility deserves an Amanda—we’re just lucky she’s ours.”
