Remedi’s proprietary Automated Therapeutic Interchange (ATI) software automatically checks incoming medication orders against the resident’s formulary and substitutes a clinically appropriate covered drug for a non-covered drug from within the same therapeutic class. This reduces the number of non-formulary calls from the pharmacy and improves the likelihood that the drug dispensed is covered by the resident’s PDP.

Governed by a pre-authorized collaborative agreement signed by the pharmacy, the facility and its doctors, Automatic Therapeutic Substitution operates automatically without facility staff having to spend time following up with either the pharmacy or the doctor.
