Sterling-Backed Remedi SeniorCare Makes Midwest Expansion
Sterling Partners-backed pharmacy company Remedi SeniorCare extends its reach into the Midwest with the completion of an add-on deal for HealthCare Pharmacy Inc.
Remedi President and Chief Executive Michael Mahon said that besides geographic expansion, the company is focused on technology to deliver better care residents. Mahon pointed to its Remedi suite of offerings, which provide real-time tracking of prescription drug usage and costs and simplifies drug dispensing and documentation.

Baltimore company acquires Ohio nursing home supplier
A Baltimore pharmacy service provider is expanding its reach in the Midwest through the acquisition of HealthCare Pharmacy.
Remedi SeniorCare, which provides pharmacy services to senior health facilities, said this week it acquired the Covington company that supplies nursing homes throughout Ohio and the Midwest.
"We found that Remedi SeniorCare offers an excellent combination of customer-focused service, a strong market presence and the advanced technologies that HealthCare needs to better serve our clients," Meyer said in a release.

Baltimore company acquires Ohio nursing home supplier
A Baltimore pharmacy service provider is expanding its reach in the Midwest through the acquisition of HealthCare Pharmacy.
Remedi SeniorCare, which provides pharmacy services to senior health care facilities, said this week it acquired the Covington company taht supplies nursing homes throughout Ohio and the Midwest.
"Remedi and HealthCare are a lot a like, our culturesare very similar," Mahon said. "We share the core belief that technology needs to be at the forefront of your strategy to help deliver better care to residents and decision-making tools to nurses."

Remedi SeniorCare acquires Ohio pharmacy firm
Baltimore-based Remedi Senior care will extend its pharmacy services to senior health care facilities in the Midwest with its acquisition of Ohio's HealthCare Pharmacy, the company announced Wednesday.
Remedi will double the number of residents its serves to 20,000 in Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan. The expansion places it among the nation's top 10 independent institutional pharmacies, the company said.

Rosedale-based Remedi, formerly Woodhaven Health Services, now serves more than 20,000 residents in Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan, placing it among the nation's top 10 independent institutional pharmacies. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Remedi completes pharmacy deal
Baltimore's Remedi SeniorCare, which provides pharmacy services to senior health care facilities, completed its acquisition of Ohio's HealthCare Pharmacy, the company said yesterday. HCP's chief executive, Jay Meyer, will be president and chief operating officer of Remdedi's Midwest operations. No other staffing changes are planned, the company said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
