Michael Bronfein

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Michael Bronfein has served as Remedi SeniorCare's chairman since its inception, and in November 2009 joined the executive team as CEO. Prior to that, he founded and spent 10 years as senior managing director at private equity firm Sterling Partners, where he led healthcare investing activities. Bronfein was co-founder, chairman, president and CEO of NeighborCare, which he helped grow from a single retail pharmacy to a national leader in long-term care and managed care pharmacy services, serving more than 250,000 long-term care residents and achieving revenues of more than $1 billion. In 1994, he received the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award for his leadership and innovation in developing NeighborCare. Prior to NeighborCare, Bronfein served as senior vice president of Signet Bank.

Bronfein contributes extensively to the Baltimore community, as chairman of the board of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and member of the Board of Visitors of the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. Bronfein holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of Baltimore and is a non-practicing CPA.

Robert Smith

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Bob Smith joined Remedi in May 2010. Bob oversees the day-to-day operations of the company’s four long-term care pharmacies in Baltimore, Maryland; Covington, Ohio; Richmond, Virginia; and Marshall, Michigan. He is responsible for managing the customer experience with Remedi’s distribution, technology and pharmacist consulting solutions. Prior to Remedi, Smith served as president and COO of NeighborCare, where he was instrumental in scaling the long-term care pharmacy business from $800 million to $1.2 billion through strategic initiatives. Following NeighborCare’s acquisition by OmniCare in 2005, he was appointed senior vice president of operations and managed six of Omnicare’s operating regions. Since 2007, he has worked as a consultant providing expertise on long-term care pharmacy and other areas of healthcare to Wall Street firms.

Andy Masetti

Chief Financial Officer

Andy Masetti has thirty years of financial management experience, with over fifteen years of financial leadership experience in healthcare. He has held Chief Financial Officer positions with Sentient Medical Systems, Amisys Synertech Inc., Marriott Senior Living Services, and Diagnostek Inc., a publicly traded pharmacy benefit manager. He was also Vice President-Finance and Principal Accounting Officer for Sun Healthcare, a publicly traded international senior care and ancillary service provider, which included a long-term care pharmacy service division. For the first fifteen years of his career, Masetti held a number of financial management positions at General Electric Co. Masetti earned his B.A. degree in mathematics and music from Williams College and is a graduate of GE's Financial Management Program.

Kathleen Chagnon

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Kathleen Chagnon joined Remedi in January 2010. With over 25 years of legal and compliance experience, Ms. Chagnon has held senior executive positions in Fortune 150 companies (including SVP, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Constellation Energy, Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel of AIG and VP, Corporate Group General Counsel of The St. Paul Companies). She brings deep experience and knowledge in corporate law and regulatory compliance. She earned her BA degree from Stanford University and received her JD degree from Columbia University. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors and officer of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Alan Bronfein

VP Sales and Strategic Sourcing

Alan Bronfein was one of the founders of Remedi SeniorCare and has been with the company since September 2002. Prior to joining Remedi, Bronfein served as corporate vice president of managed care services at Genesis Health Ventures. He also held positions as vice president of Community Based Business and director of client services for NeighborCare. Bronfein received his B.S. in marketing at the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the Greater Baltimore Committees Leadership program.

Richard Mainzer, PharmD

VP Clinical Programs

Richard Mainzer has served as head of Clinical Services for Remedi SeniorCare since 2002. Prior to joining Remedi, he was director of Marketing and Product Development for NeighborCare, where he designed and developed clinical resources, technology solutions, and corporate marketing campaigns. Mainzer previously served as area clinical manager and consultant pharmacist for Vitalink, which was acquired by NeighborCare. He has worked with both his peers and government agencies as a long-term care advocate and industry liaison to facilitate the implementation of programs such as Medicare Part D and industry-relevant legislation, and has spoken nationally about clinical, regulatory and economic issues in long-term care. Mainzer earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland.

Jim Waller

VP Human Resources

Prior to joining Remedi SeniorCare in November 2008, Jim Waller served as the human capital principal for Sterling Partners, supporting Remedi and 33 other private equity-backed growth companies focused primarily on healthcare, education and technology services. Over his 25-year HR career, Waller has provided strategic guidance to healthcare sector companies, including FutureHealth, Magellan Behavioral Health, HCIA (Health Care Investment Analysis), Genesis Health Ventures and NeighborCare Pharmacies. Waller earned his B.S. degree in education from Towson University and his M.S. degree in administration from Johns Hopkins University.

George Watson

VP Business Development

Prior to joining Remedi SeniorCare in February 2009, George Watson was a principal at Sterling Partners, where he worked with healthcare services and healthcare information technology companies. Before that he was assistant vice president in the Healthcare Private Equity group at GE Equity. He also worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Merrill Lynch and NationsBanc Montgomery Securities. Watson earned his B.A. degree at Duke University and his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
